Martinez, Odell & Calabria was established in
1979 as a small law office in Hato Rey, the corporate and banking center of San Juan, Puerto Rico. The
Firm grew steadily and solidly over the formative years, into a full
service law firm. Taxes, Corporate Law, Finance, Litigation and Labor Law became
the focus of the then growing, highly respected law firm during the 80's.
The 1980's witnessed continued steady growth for
Martinez Odell & Calabria in all the traditional phases of the law.
Major companies came to form part of the corporate roster of the Firm's
clients, including hotels, telecommunication, high tech and other
infrastructure clients, which required more specialized counseling.
With the advent of the 90's, Martinez
Odell &
Calabria developed into one of the three largest and most respected law firms in
Puerto Rico. In 1993, the Firm added to its list of clients, Puerto Rico's
most significant banking institution, Banco Popular de Puerto Rico.
Martinez Odell & Calabria has since consolidated
its leadership and outstanding law services with over fifteen (15) practice
areas. It has continually expanded from its core, developing
expertise in diverse and increasingly demanding corporate fields.
